Dianne Andrews is a very accomplished lady…. She graduated from college at the age of 19 with a B.S. in Mathematics. After graduating she went to work for IBM in Endicott, NY then IBM/NASA location at Johnston Space Center in Houston working as a computer programmer on the Space Shuttle project. she was the second black woman Systems Engineer in the state of Texas.
While at IBM she held several executive management positions and obtained her MBA. During her management tenure there, Ms. Andrews was the first black woman Marketing Manager in the state of New Jersey. Ms. Andrews was also the second black woman executive manger in the state of Connecticut. She worked with business giants such as Avis Rent A Car, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Kaiser, Sharp, Arco, Alcoa Aluminum, Minolta, LG and Toys R Us. Traveling worldwide to work with these customers as a business process reengineer.
Still at IBM, she started a motivational seminar business named Promoting Success Inc. These seminars focused on personal development, corporate development and starting a business. The format allowed the participants to pick and choose the sessions based on their personal requirements. Over 15 expert speakers lead these sessions. At the end of the sessions there is a business networking gathering with booths.
Currently, she is the owner of Home Health Solutions, LLC and is the first black woman to have owned multiple sleep labs throughout the state of Louisiana from 2012 until 2014. She is the author of 3 books- “Third Man Out” (fiction) “Gumbo For The Heart” which has 25 vignettes from famous and non-famous people.
People such as Houston’s former Mayor Bill White, General Honore, South African Ambassador James Johnson, dancer, actress Lola Falana, NFL player Warrick Dunn cancer survivors, bankrupted business owners on how they have lived there life with resilience overcoming adversity.
She is currently working on a screen play adaptation for her book “Third Man Out” and writing “Eye of Revenge” (Release date Jan 2017) the sequel to “Third Man Out”. In addition to her writing, Ms. Andrews produces motivational calendars named “Gumbo for the Heart”, which he second book bears that named. They comprise pictures from the artwork of children impacted by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
In 1997, Dianne foundered the Lemmie and Mabel Andrews Charitable Foundation to honor her now decreased mother and father. She has fed the elderly up to 250 every Thanksgiving and Christmas since and given scholarships to deserving students.
In 2006, Ms Andrews, so deeply, impacted by the pain, isolation and homelessness created by the hurricane sponsored an art contest for the children where she held an award contest ceremony for the children giving monetary awards to the winners but more impacting the way they healed. It was at a private club where the families were invited. Over 50 kid survivors and their families plus citizens attended.

As if that wasn’t enough… Ms. Andrews also produces and hosts the largest “issue-based television show” in the state of Louisiana- Dianne Andrews “In Black & White”, which can be viewed on television in the state of Louisiana and Western Mississippi plus YouTube and Vimeo. She has broadcasted over 82 shows within two years. Her broadcasts have included guests such as BR Mayor Kip Holden, the Baton Rouge Chief of Police Carl Dabadie, and District Attorney Hillar Moore, future astronaut Alyssa Carson, Muslims, both Shia and Sunni also Nation of Islam. Worldwide guests including entrepreneurs, business owners state representatives, council member NAACP President, Drs, Attorneys, radio and television show hosts guest. Her topics of discussion have also included issues in relation to the unlocking the Iphone in murder cases such as Brittany Mills, Black, White and Blue Lives Matter, and sex trafficking.
Other series that Ms Andrews hosts include ISIS, Transgender and Religion. She has shows on all religions including Hindu, Mormons, Jewish, Baptist Catholic Full Gospel Pentecostal. She hosts religious roundtables including Atheists . Ms Andrews believes to come to a better understanding in life we must ALL LISTEN.
Ms. Andrews gives back… Her charitable organization works include the American Heart Associations’ GO Red for Women. She is the CEO of Lemmie and Mabel Andrews Charitable Foundations, Women Refining Women, SCLC, Save Our Cities, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Member Southern University Gala on the Bluffs Fundraising Committee, and she is one of the founding members of the 100 Black Women in Baton Rouge.
She has recently been the keynote for Remington and Delta Colleges. In April 2016 she spoke at the Whistleblowers Conference in Little Rock at the Clinton Presidential Library. For the last 2 years she has presented at the National Whistleblower Conference in Washington DC, on her investigative work in her shows. In one presentation she compared the similarities of Corporate Whistle blowing to Snitching in poor neighborhoods. Using the MBA technique of SWOT. Ms. Andrews is being recognized as the Community Leader of the Year for the multi-state Cenikor Drug Rehabilitation Foundation where she also serves as an active board member. With all of these accomplishments, Ms. Andrews has stated that the greatest accomplishment, challenge, and joy of her life was caring for her ailing mother who expired in 2007. She moved to Baton Rouge from NY to prevent her mother from going into the nursing home by her family in Louisiana. She gave up a top position in the E. Coast to become the highest black woman in the state and the 2nd highest black executive in Louisiana for IBM.
She has also gone into the field with a cameraman and shot shows at EBR Parish prison questioning the black panthers and the Sunni Muslim store owner of Triple S where Alton Sterling was killed by police. Dianne was also interviewed by David Bernard of CBS and Kenny Lopez of WGNO the ABC affiliate who produced a special on her work as a show producer, host and activist. It can also be viewed on their site WGNO.com dated Tuesday July 19,2016 on “News with a Twist”. She is regularly on radio shows such as La. host Jim Engster, Gloria Minot of DC , Blogtalk radio and others.
Ms Andrews says that to those that are given, much is owed. Dianne has started Project YETT her Slogan is: Not yet but YETT is Now! Youth Empowerment Though Teaching. Where underprivileged youth will be brought to a better part of the city allowing them to see how they can live, being taught about etiquette, how to address a policemen if stopped, self respect, substance abuse, proper dressing, banking. We will take them to restaurants, take them to a bank. So these children will get a taste of simple activities of daily living, many take for granted. She believes that if everyone lite just one little candle one a bright light that would be!
Her philosophy is “Between black and white there are always shades of gray!” Be tolerance and Light your Light! ……..
